The accident left me with a severe laceration to my head about 10 inches long that penetrated to my skull. After being hospitalized and undergoing surgery, I was finally discharged. It took about a month to regain enough strength to return to college. While I am grateful that I am relatively healthy now, I suffered certain complications since the accident.
At the time of my accident, I did not think about pursuing the matter or even speaking to a lawyer. In fact, the vehicle that caused the accident left the scene so I just assumed that I had no legal options. It was not until certain complications arose after the accident that I realized that my failure to pursue my legal options was a big and costly mistake.
